Our Team

Dr. Hinterberger is a native of Altoona, PA.  He attended Bishop Guilfoyle High School, before going on to St. Francis University in Loretto, PA, where he graduated in 1979 with a B.S. in Biology.  Dr. Hinterberger went on to receive his Doctorate of Optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry and is currently a licensed optometrist in the state of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Hinterberger has been providing Family Eye Care for patients in the Butler area for 25 years. In his family eye care practice, he treats everyone from infants to senior citizens.

To say that an optometric practice simply provides eyeglasses and contact lenses misses the point. To provide exceptional care, you must really get to know your patients. Dr. Hinterberger and his staff of 20 years know that when you understand how your patients live, work and play, you can tailor their eyewear to fit their lifestyles.

More importantly, treating a patient’s eyes involves caring for the health of their eyes. Whether it is treating a red eye or a diabetic patient, Dr. Hinterberger is trained to provide the most up to date medical eye care for his patients.

Community
In Dr. Hinterberger’s office, caring for patients, as well as the community, doesn’t end in the exam room. Dr. Hinterberger and his staff have proudly helped stock the local food pantry for more than 15 years. Each November, they give thanks by giving a gift card to every patient who donates non-perishable food items. Through the generosity of his patients, Dr. Hinterberger has been able to provide hundreds of pounds of food to families in need.
